Bianchi's Haarig Holzfällers is up next in D Taylor's Franchise Corner.
Uniforms - The Holzfällers uniforms are the most unique in the entire D League with the plaid patterned jerseys. Bianchi's franchise is one of only a few where the uniforms are better than the logo itself, and that's just because the jerseys are that cool. The Norwegian style numbering is also a subtle but very unique touch. The only weird thing is the color scheme. Is it black, red, and brown? It looks good, maybe a little bizarre. We in the D League are lucky enough to have actually seen in the flesh these badass jerseys as Bianchi's team claimed the 2015 Presidents League championship.
Logo - Haarig Holzfällers wins the award for logo that looks most like its owner. If it had more of an Italian appearance it would be Bianchi to a T. The Holzfäller's workmark is probably the coolest part. The logo is good but it's still overshadowed by the sweet flannel jerseys. I do like the creativity behind the team name, which I think means Hairy Lumberjacks in some long-lost language. Haarig Holzfällers is ready to split some bitches in half after being sent down to White League for the 2017 season. #keepsawinwood
Our Royal Purple League Champion releases his franchise today, the Executive Committee. Nice use of details throughout, this will be a neat jersey to see.
Postler, after winning his first lower league championship, brings to us this gem of a franchise and will shortly be ordered as his jersey. When the designer made this, one of the actual Dolphins graphic designers responded to it on twitter, so you know it's neat.
Next up in D Taylor's Featured Franchise Corner is Benda's Cloudwalkers.
Uniforms - The Cloudwalkers unis most closely resemble the Panther's design with the Carolina Blue home jerseys. The logo on the helmet could be replaced with something that fits a little different but it still looks pretty good. Featuring the sword somewhere on the uniform would give it a little extra something too. Overall a cool uniform design and color scheme.
Logo - I'm not exactly sure what a Cloudwalker is (someone who walks the clouds?), but I'd say the logo does a good job of depicting whatever it may be. The dark figure is a cross between Rufio and some dude from Dragon Ball Z. Why is the sword so big? Or is it actually a pointy cricket bat? There's a lot of freedom with this one and Benda's design uses a lot of creativity and imagination. Given the time and a spare $50, there's plenty of room for some badass secondary logos as well. Benda and his Cloudwalkers will swing their big swords in President's League for the first time in 2017.
